The problem with the tech world’s “swing for the fences” approach SIGNAL VS. NOISE | 18 APRIL, 2011 http://pulsene.ws/1lT60  David Heinemeier Hansson: The startup scene is too focused on “swing for the fences” type of ideas, either it’s going to go bust or it’s going to be this lavish, extreme success. I think we’d be better off with less of a focus on that and more of a focus on...

The agenda Published on Seth’s Blog | shared via feedly mobile The job of the CEO isn’t to check things off the agenda. Her job is to set the agenda, to figure out what’s next. Now that more and more of us are supposed to be CEO of our own lives and careers, it might be time to rethink who’s setting your agenda.

Seth Godin: The four horsemen of media--here comes...
Seth Godin: The first is when you talk about yourself. Directly to people who care to hear you out. The second is when you pay someone to carry your message. Media for hire, we call it advertising. The third is when you cajole the ‘editorial’ side to talk about you, with authority. Publicity is often worth more than advertising, but it’s pesky in that it doesn’t perform...

Jalopnik: Obsessed With The Cult Of Cars →
It was 47 years ago today when the Ford Mustang was officially unveiled by Henry Ford II at the World’s Fair in Flushing Meadows, New York and simultaneously in dealer showrooms.
